All Dressed Up With Somewhere To Go

Saturday, 29 December 2012
As I said in my last post, a couple of days ago* I visited the Lyric Theater to see the sketch show  'Forget Turkey! (We're going to Phuket this Christmas)'. I found the play incredibly hit and miss, but it was all in all a good night out. But that may have been due to the fact that we arrived at the theater an hour ahead of schedule (we read the tickets wrong. Doh!) and had to amuse ourselves with embarrassing stories and large glasses of wine. It's a hard life!
*I've been a bit slow putting the post up. Sorry!

I decided to get a little dressed up for the occasion, but not push the boat out too much. This is definitely one of my go-to outfits. It's simple, but yet has the right amount of colour pop for me that it's not too boring. It probably looks quite dull to most of you, but as I've said before I just don't seem to suit the crazy colours and prints. I'm much more of a colour blocking kind of girl, sometimes with a little bit of print thrown in.

Dress - Topshop. Blazer - New Look. Belt - Topshop. Shoes - Carvela.
Necklace - gifted. Ring - Vintage. Bag - Vivienne Westwood.

 Ring - Vintage
This ring is just one from my substantial vintage collection, and was given to left to me by my Nana after she passed. It's one of my firm favourites.

 Necklace - Gifted

I also broke out my beautiful Vivienne for the occasion. It's probably my most treasured possessions (God that makes me sound so shallow), which is one of the reasons why it doesn't get seen much. But I will definitely be getting it out more* in the future.
*Get your minds out of the gutters. Dirtbirds!

Bag - Vivienne Westwood

As I said, we succumbed to wine induced silliness....
Please ignore Mama C's inability to understand the concept of these things.

Next stop is New Year. Do you have any exciting plans? I'm going to a friend's for a party and cannot wait!
