Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board

I recently wore this to go for a lovely dinner with brothers. I was aiming for something stylish yet low key. In reality that could be the theme for my wardrobe. I'm not one for clashing patterns. I'd rather pair a statement print with a simple dress or skirt. Maybe that makes me boring, but oh well we can't all be adventurous fashionistas.

The dress is the same one which has now been featured many times on my blog. What can I say, when I find an item I like I will wear it til it falls apart. The cardigan was bought in the Christmas sales from Laura Ashley and was an absolute bargain! I never really think of looking in Laura Ashley for clothes. I always associate it with the curtains we used to have when I was little, but after finding this little gem I think I need to reconsider.

Cardigan - Laura Ashley. Dress - Topshop.
Belt - Topshop. Boots - Dune.

This is always my go-to item of long necklaces. It has seen me through days at the office, tedious trips to Tesco, and wild nights out. It was gifted to me a couple of years ago and I have absolutely no idea who gave me it. So, to whoever it was that got me this little crafty fox - thank you!

Speaking of go-to jewellery. This is probably my most worn ring, and it has a beautiful story behind it which makes it even more special. It was given to my Nana by my Papa who had it made especially for her while he was stationed in India during the war.
Ring - Vintage. Nail polish - Chanel 481.
