I thought I'd do a quick 'What's In My Bag' post. The last time I did a similar post was two summers ago. Can't believe I'm been blogging this long! Time really does fly when you're having fun.* But to mix it up, and because the contents of my handbag hasn't changed too much since then, I decided to do a work edition.
* I'm so cheesy
I may have mentioned before I am incredibly picky about my bags. In my head I had a specific idea of what I wanted; a large bag that can carry all my "essentials" in, but not too large that it will be disruptive in meetings. I do already have a rather large collection of bags*, but I have very little "big" bags. So this gave me an excuse to get another, but more practical bag. I started my job at the end of August and only got this bag at the end of September. That is how picky I am.
*massive understatement
Eventually I found it while on a shopping trip to London with Mama C. It's Marc B, I've had a few different Marc B bags and have always been impressed with their longevity, especially with the battering I usually give them, and the craftsmanship.
It does of course have the traditional Marc B leopard print lining.
The only leopard print thing I own.
I'm going to stop jabbering on now and get to the actual point of what's in my bag.
My Red or Dead purse. I bought this a few years ago, and it is still lasting well.
My trusty Filofax I am incredibly organised, a trait I've gotten from my dad. I genuinely think I would be lost without it, and would probably miss all of my arrangements.
An umbrella I "borrowed" from Mama C. Which I promise to give back next time I see her.
Liz Earle hand cream. A present from Santa. I get incredibly dry hands in this frosty weather, this is my lifesaver.
My leather gloves. Definitely necessary. As I'm writing this the snow is steadily falling.
My keys, complete with a Ulster rugby ball stress bar key ring. Wee bit of Belfast in Oxford.
Vintage compact mirror.
My current read; 'Hippo Eats Dwarf' by Alex Boese. I may have only started it, but I'm already finding it hard to put down. It's all about myths and hoaxes which circulate in the media and on the internet. I would recommend it if you like the weird and wonderful.
What do you carry in your work bag?

That book sounds great too...one of my new year's resolutions is to read more non-fiction so I'm going to add this to my list :)
